Baked Ziti Casserole

1 pound ground beef
1 jar (26 oz) Spaghetti Sauce
1 can ( 6 oz) Tomato Paste
8 ounces ziti pasta or any other pasta cooked according to package
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and paste; blend well.

Spray 8X8 dish with cooking spray. Spoon 1/2 meat mixture in bottom of dish. Top with half the pasta, 1/2 remaining sauce and 1/2 cup cheese. Repeat layers ending with cheese.

Bake uncovered 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

english muffin pizza

english muffins split- enough to feed your family- you could even use bagels
spaghetti sauce
cheese
toppings.

Put english muffin halves on baking sheet. cover with sauce, cheese and toppings. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 15 minutes.

Turkey pillows

2/3 cup diced cooked chicken
2 cans crescent rolls
2 (3 oz) packages cream cheese
2/3 cup herb flavored stuffing
4 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon chopped chives
1 can mushrooms, drained (save liquid)

Cooked rice for the side.

Cream cheese and margarine together. Add mushrooms, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, and chives. Add chicken. Roll crescent rolls thinner (square shape). Add filling on rolls—fold like pillows—seal and dip in 6 tablespoons melted butter then coat with stuffing. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Make gravy with reserved mushroom liquid and a can of cream of mushroom soup.

Sloppy Joe

 

1 pound hamburger
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 cup kidney or black beans (optional)
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dry mustard
pepper and garlic to taste

Brown meat, pepper and onion lightly. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 15-30 minutes.

Roast, potatoes, carrots

1 roast
6 potatoes
1 small bag of baby carrots
1 onion
4 sticks celery
1 package lipton onion soup mix
2 cups water

Cut potatoes, carrots, onion and celery. Put roast in crockpot. Add potatoes, carrots, onion and celery. Add lipton onions soup mix and water. Cover Let cook on low or medium for 4-6 hours but time will vary depending on roast size. Remove roast, potatoes, carrots, onion and celery from crockpot. Mix some flour and water together, pour into leftover juices. Heat to boiling and you have a great gravy.

Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/3 cup water
3/4 cup uncooked long grain white rice
2 cups fresh or frozen vegetables
1/2 tsp onion powder
2-4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup cheddar cheese

Stir the soup, water, rice onion powder and vegetables together in a 9X13 pan. Season chicken if desired and place on top of mixture. Cover. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until done. Top with cheese.

Cornbread muffins

2 boxes of jiffy corbread mix
1 can whole kernal corn- drained
¼ cup honey
2 eggs
just enough milk to make a thick batter

Stir just until moistened. Spray or line 12 muffin cups. Fill. Cook at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes.
