German Pancakes
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
5 tablespoons butter
Whip eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add milk, flour, and salt. Heat butter in 9x13 pan in the oven while preheating. Pour batter into pan of melted butter. Bake 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Top with powdered sugar, serve with jam or syrup.
Apple Oven Pancake (pictured)
Make German Pancake as directed--except sprinkle 5 Tbsp packed brwon sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon evenly over melted butter in pan. Arrange 1-2 cup thinkly sliced peeled baking apples over sugar. Pour batter over apple. Bake 30-35 minutes. Immediately loosen edge of pancake.
